Shipping instructions
-
Never send raw or frozen pelts.

-
For dried pelts with thick skin ex. Beaver, seal skins, etc. it is better to roll the skin instead of folding it. This is to avoid cracking issues. Pelts with thinner skins can be folded ex. Fox, coyote, etc.

-
Before shipping, all skins must be fleshed, moulded and dried.

-
For larger skins (bear, deer, etc.) use a knife to remove the fat from the skin and lay the skin on the ground flesh facing upwards. Spread an abundant layer of fine salt on the entire surface of the flesh and scrub vigorously all over.
-
Leave the skin set for 24 hours, then shake the skin to let the first coating of salt fall off. Repeat the process a second time and hang it for a few days to dry.
-
For packing, skins must be rolled or folded in bag or cardboard box.
